June 29, 2018The 6th Annual Family Ministry Seminar held on June 1 and 2 at Abu Dhabi and Jebel Ali was a success and well received with a good number of participants attending at both venues. With the theme Care of Youth in Catholic Families, the panel of resource speakers included Fr. Arul, Fr. Reinhold, Chasity O’Connell, Hernan and Marivic Fuentes and Dr. Shaju George who spoke on various topics related to the theme.
The seminar on each day concluded with a panel discussion and an interactive Question and Answer session engaging all participants in the lively, animated discussions.
Other FM activities that took place in the month of June:- Workshop for children from 10 – 15 years Increasing Emotional Intelligence conducted by Fr. Sundar Wilson across five parishes in the UAE. Topics included developmental transition, emotional vacuum, peer pressure, attention seeking, low self-esteem, acting out behaviour, intense emotional reaction and spirituality. Attended by over 950 children, the workshops were lively, enriching and stimulating.

- Parenting the Millenials: Interactive Workshop , June 30 at Dubai.
- Open Sessions conducted by Fr. Sundar: June 20 – July 3 at Dubai.
