The 19th Annual Christian Formation Conference (CFC), organized by the AVOSA Office of Christian Formation was held this year at St. Mary's School, Ras Al Khaimah on 5 February 2022. The theme of the conference was "Come back to me with all your heart" (Joel 2:12). Around 220 people participated in the conference. This edition was the first of two conferences being organized this year. A second conference is being organized for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi on 26 February 2022.
Being the first in-person event since the beginning of the pandemic which brought together the catechists of the Vicariate, the participants described it as a moving experience, where they could be energized by encountering fellow catechists together with the Bishop, Office bearers and other resource persons. Among the highlights were a Q&A session with the Bishop, sessions by Fr. Peter Fernando, Director of the Vicariate Family Ministry on challenges faced by children during the pandemic, the Moderator Fr. Darick D'Souza on the accompaniment of children, a session on Synod 2023 by Joseph Flynn and Perviz D'Souza and the various breakout sessions.
