November 12, 2019St. Francis of Assisi parish Jebel Ali organized a Finance and Legal Seminar on October 17 to educate parishioners about UAE laws, justice system and family finance. The Senior Adult Ministry of the parish also celebrated International Day for Older People in conjunction with the Du Company. The seniors also participated in a Senior Citizens Fashion Show on October 04.
St. Mary’s Dubai organized a Special Sports Day for Differently Abled Children and their families. Commencing with a special mass, this was a wonderful, joyful occasion and heart-warming to see the special angels and their families smiling, laughing, and just being themselves.
With the theme Family Love: A Vocation and Path to Holiness, the planning for the annual AVOSA FM Seminar on November 29 & 30 is in full swing to create and raise awareness among parishioners in the vicariate.
The monthly activities of the Marriage Preparation Course, Wedding Anniversary Mass, Baptism Seminar etc. continued in the various parishes of the vicariate.
The family groups and movements under the banner of the AVOSA Family Ministry had a busy month with their various activities and programmes:
Jesus Youth (JY)
The JY Family wing conducted their Jubilee Night Vigil on October 10 from 10:00pm to 6:00pm at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Ras al Khaimah.
Couples for Christ- CFC leaders and members of the CFC UAE MISSION CORE attended a Prayer Assembly and Teaching on 4th October at St. Mary’s Church in Al-Ain.
- Singles for Christ, Couples Co-ordinators Conference was held on 17th October at St. Mary’s Church, Dubai.
- CFC Kids for Christ, Family Conference was held on 26th October at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Ras al Khaima
Catholics for Family and Life (CFFL)
The CFFL National team had their Praise and Worship Session at St. Mary’s Muhaisanah on 4 th October.
Marriage Encounter (ME)- Marriage Encounter UAE celebrated a Thanksgiving Mass on 29th October to commemorate 20 years of its existence in the UAE.
- Another successful live in weekend was conducted in Dubai on 17-19 October, attended by 20 couples.
- Following the ME Weekend in Abu Dhabi, a follow up meeting (Bridge Meeting) was held in Abu Dhabi on 11th October, attended by 15 couples.
- ME couples met in different parts of Dubai, Oman and Abu Dhabi for the monthly Love Circle meetings.
- ME Families met on Saturday 5th Oct at St. Mary’s Church - Dubai to pray the Holy Rosary. Following the rosary, The Come Alive Youth Group led the Praise & Worship.
