February 9, 2020A special Retreat for Couples was conducted at the Holy Spirit Church Ghala on 24 January 2020. Animated by Br Colin Calmiano from Bangalore, it was attended by 120 couples and very well received by the participants.
The Malayalam Community at St. Joseph’s Abu Dhabi had a special celebration for all the couples celebrating their silver jubilee this year.
The regular monthly activities of the Marriage Preparation Course, Baptism Seminar, Wedding Anniversary Masses etc. continued as usual.
Marriage Encounter (ME)- 30 couples participated in the ME Annual Formation Day on 25 January. With the theme ‘Call To Holiness’ it echoed the theme taken at the ME World Council Meeting In Canada and at the ME Asian Conference in 2019, in response to Pope Francis’s Apostolic Exhortation 'Rejoice and Be Glad’ – a reminder that we are all called to holiness in today’s world.
- A workshop was organized for current presenting and new couples who aspire to be presenting couples at the ME Weekend on 31 Jan from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
- CFC UAE Mission Core First Fruit Offering and Teaching was held on 3 January at St. Paul’s Church, Mussffah.
- Crossroads Weekend by CFC – Singles for Christ was held on 17 January at St. Joseph’s, Abu Dhabi. The retreat aims to strengthen and fortify the SFC members’ growth in their Christian life and to empower them in pursuing their vocation.
- The MFC conducted their Music Ministry Workshop on 17 January at St. Paul’s Musaffah. The aim of the One Music Ministry is to fight spiritual battles using voices as weapons.
