Communique from Bishop Paul Hinder on the Demise of HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan

Abu Dhabi.

I am profoundly saddened by the demise of HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, may his soul rest in peace. We will always remain grateful for his great services as the President to this blessed nation and its people. HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan was a great leader and a statesman. He continued the legacy of his father and the founder of this country, HH the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Most of all, HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan loved his people and his country. His vision for the country is evident in the many developmental projects and reforms undertaken under his presidency.

The departure of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has left a deep void in our hearts. May God make well the space left behind by him, and grant him the heaven’s reward.

I assure my prayers for the late Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and my spiritual closeness to his family. I sincerely extend my condolences to the officials of the Government of the UAE and pray that the God of all consolation may grant His solace to all the members of the Royal Family.
