FEBRUARY UPDATES
Participation in the first ever Papal Mass in the UAE on February 05 was the highlight of the FM teams/ affiliated groups activities in February. Members were enthusiastically involved in the planning and preparations at their respective parishes.
The 19 th quarterly meeting of the AVOSA Family Ministry General Body was conducted on 22 nd February at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish Fujairah. Ideas were exchanged, best practices shared and plans for the coming quarter discussed. The meeting also included a discussion of the final chapter of Amoris Laetitia on the topic of Spirituality of Marriage and the Family.
World Marriage Day was celebrated with keen enthusiasm in the various parishes of the vicariate by the FM teams.
The Marriage Preparation Course Train the Trainer programme was conducted in Abu Dhabi on February 8 & 9 for the new batch of MPC facilitators.
Ghala FM Team had conducted the Family Box Cricket Tournament on 8 th February.
The regular activities of the Marriage Preparation Course, Baptism Seminar, Wedding Anniversary Masses etc., continued as usual.
In addition to their on-going programmes, affiliated family groups and movements had also organized special events in February.
Marriage Encounter (ME)- 14th February: Annual ME Ball with the theme Love Changes Everything was organized in Dubai.
Couples for Christ (CFC)- 8 & 9 February: 8 CFC couples successfully completed the MPC ToT in Abu Dhabi.
- 15th February: CFC Mission Core Retreat attended by new members of the Mission Core Group in Al-Ain.
- 16th February: CFC had sponsored 16 CFC couples at the Church Wedding for civilly married couples in Abu Dhabi.
- 17th February: CFC Migrants Programme in Fujairah
Jesus Youth (JY)- February 8: The JY National Team visited the Sharjah Family Leaders and Regional Teams to discuss family and other issues.
- February 14: Sharjah JY team had their renewal of Marriage Vows.
