Extraordinary Jubilee of Saint Arethas and Companions

The Extraordinary Jubilee of the martyrdom of Saint Arethas and his Companions will be celebrated by both the Vicariates in the Arabian Peninsula (AVOSA and AVONA), commencing on their feast day, 24 October 2023, until 23 October 2024. This Jubilee is being celebrated on the occasion of the fifteen hundredth (1500th) anniversary of their martyrdom at Najran.

A Holy Door will be opened in St. Joseph's Cathedral Abu Dhabi and will remain open throughout the jubilee year and the pilgrims will be invited to make a journey to the Holy Door which is a symbol of one’s own pilgrimage of faith.
