2025 is a year of Jubilee for the Catholic Church in which we celebrate the year of messianic favour inaugurated by Christ through his Incarnation and Paschal Mystery, also known as a “Holy Year” in which God's holiness transforms us. It is celebrated in Rome from 24/12/2024 to 06/01/2026 and in our Vicariate from 29/12/2024 to 28/12/2025. Plenary indulgence can be obtained by a pilgrimage to one of the 4 Papal Major Basilicas in Rome, 3 Basilicas in the Holy Land, or the 3 places designated by Bp Paolo Martinelli as the Shrine Churches for our vicariate during the Jubilee Year, one in each country: U.A.E., Oman, Yemen. When we travel, we do not only change place physically, but we also change ourselves.
