New Apostolic Nuncio Officially Recognized by UAE

 
The new Papal Nuncio, Archbishop Francisco Padilla, was officially accredited as the Diplomatic Representative of the Holy See (Ambassador of the Vatican) to the UAE yesterday before His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The occasion took place in Al Mushrif Palace along with 21 other non residential ambassadors.
   
Later in the evening, Archbishop Francisco met with Bishop Paul Hinder in the Bishop’s House and celebrated evening mass at St. Therese Church with Bishop Paul Hinder, many priests and the parish community, with all the choirs celebrating their patron saint Cecila. It was a joyous occasion for the community, and the Archbishop expressed his special thanks to Bishop Paul and the faithful for their hospitality and support.
