Inauguration of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy

31 December 2015 (Abu Dhabi).

Bishop Paul Hinder inaugurated the Holy Year of Mercy in the Vicariate on 8 December 2015, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. On the same day, the Holy Father Pope Francis opened the Holy Door of St. Peter's Basilica signifying the inauguration of the Holy Year for the Universal Church.

Bishop Paul has decreed that all the Churches in the Vicariate will have a "Holy Door" to enable all the faithful to participate in the indulgences and graces that the Holy Father has specially enriched this Extraordinary Jubilee.
