The Gulf Churches Fellowship (GCF) consists primarily of executive church leaders from the officially recognized churches (categorized into 5 families : Anglicans, Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox and Protestants) of the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE) and Yemen, aiming at growing in relationship with each other, identifying areas of shared ministry and concern, and joining together for mutual support. Like every year, the GCF had its annual meetingduring the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (18-25 January). It was a time of exchange, communion and prayer. The GCF meeting was held from the 20th to the 22nd Januaryin St Michael's Catholic church in Sharjah but all members visited also the other Christian churches represented in the GCF.
On the last day, they participated in the special ecumenical service at St Francis church in the Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi.
