The Vicariate Family Ministry continued its activities in July with the monthly Wedding Anniversary Mass celebrations and the Marriage Preparation Courses taking place in most parishes.
Open Sessions with Fr. Sundar Wilson OFM Cap., Director of the Anugraha Institute of Counselling and Psychotherapy concluded with topics such as Understanding Alcholism and Drug Addictions, Understanding Depression and Recognizing Suicidal Tendencies and Counselling the Sick and Gender Identity Counselling.
The Feast of Sts. Joachim and Anne was celebrated to honour the parents and grandparents. An exciting Parents and Grandparents Day celebration on July 28, with the theme: Superstars of Our Family was conducted at St. Mary’s Dubai.
9 couples from Equipes Notre Dame (END) Dubai and Abu Dhabi attended the "International Gathering of the Teams of Our Lady" in Fatima, Portugal from 16 to 21 July. Celebrating with the theme "The Prodigal Son" this event gathered 9000 persons from all over the world, with diverse programmes rich with life testimonies, conferences, adoration, Masses, activities and Rosary prayers.
The Marriage Encounter team continued with their monthly Love Circle Group meetings to follow-up with couples who have completed their ME weekend with the aim to build up a community of happy homes and families. Presently there are 8-10 Love Circle groups in the UAE.
Jesus Youth Kids Ministry had conducted the monthly gathering in Mussaffah.
The AVOSA Family Ministry are now getting ready to send their first ever delegation next month to the World Meeting of Families taking place this time in Dublin, Ireland from August 21-26.
