The third Ordinary Chapter of the General Custody of the Order of Capuchin Friars Minor in Arabia is being held from 9-12 June, 2014 in Dubai. The Minister General, Fr. Mauro Jöhri presides over the 64 friars present at the Chapter. The General Councillor Fr. Pio Murat, is also present.
On the first day of the Chapter, Bishop Paul Hinder of the Apostolic Vicariate of Southern Arabia and Bishop Camillo Ballin of the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia were present and gave inspirational messages to the friars who work in both the Vicariates.
On June 10th, the second day of the chapter, the capuchins elected Fr. Paul Koenig from St. Joseph's Province of the United States as Custos. Fr. Lennie Connully, Fr. Troy de los Santos, Fr. Youssef S. Youssef and Fr. Freddy D'Souza were elected Councillors.

On the third day, the reports of the group discussions are presented to the Chapter and some resolutions taken.
