The installation of His Excellency Bishop Paolo Martinell OFM Cap. as the Apostolic Vicar of Southern Arabia will take place on Saturday 2 July 2022 at St. Joseph’s Cathedral Abu Dhabi during the celebration of the Holy Mass at 6:15 pm.
Bishop Paul Hinder, Apostolic Vicar Emeritus of Southern Arabia and Msgr. Kryspin Dubiel, the Charge D'Affaires of the Embassy of the Holy See to the UAE will be joined by almost 80 priests who will participate in the installation ceremony.
Bishop Paolo Martinelli succeeds HE Bishop Paul Hinder, who served as the shepherd of the Catholic faithful who live in the countries of UAE, Oman and Yemen for 18 years.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on the website of the Catholic Church in the UAE, Oman and Yemen www.avosa.org
Following the installation, the inaugural message of Bishop Martinelli which is addressed to all the citizens and residents of the UAE, Oman and Yemen will also be published.
