* 1992-2014  Professor at the faculty of Theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University
* Since 1993  Professor at the faculty of Theology at the Pontifical Antonianum University
* 2004-2014  Dean of the Franciscan Institute of Spirituality at the Pontifical Antonianum University
* Since 2006  Consultor of the Congregation for the Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life
* 2009-2014  Consultor of the General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops.
* 2010-2014  Full Professor of Theology of the states of life at the Pontifical Antonianum University.

* 2014 May 24  Appointed auxiliary bishop of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Milan and titular bishop of Musti in Numidia.
* 2014 June 28  Ordained bishop in the Cathedral of Milan, Italy. Episcopal motto:

* 2015-2022  Member of the Italian Bishops Conference.
* 2021-2022  President of the Episcopal Commission for the Clergy and Consecrated Life, of the Italian Bishops Conference.
* 2022 May 1st  Appointed Apostolic Vicar of Southern Arabia.
* 2022 July 2  Installed Apostolic Vicar of Southern Arabia in Abu Dhabi.
